European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the commission has proposed measures that would allow the European Union reduce gas imports from Russia significantly. Von der Leyen also said Wednesday she will discuss the possibility to secure extra deliveries of liquefied natural gas from the U.S. for the 27-nation bloc when she meets with President Joe Biden.
