Finding the perfect yuca is a real struggle, IYKYK! 🥲 But I swear the produce purchasing guy at @mortonwilliamssupermarkets has to be Dominican… because they’ve got perfect yuca every single time! 🙌🔥
🎥 Step 1: Peel and cut the yuca into large chunks.
🎥 Step 2: Boil in salted water until fork-tender (about 25-30 minutes).
🎥 Step 3: While the yuca is boiling, thinly slice 1 large onion.
🎥 Step 4: Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan. Add the onions and cook on medium-low until caramelized (about 15-20 minutes).
🎥 Step 5: Drain the yuca, plate it, and top with the caramelized onions.
🎥 Step 6: Grate some Gouda cheese over the warm yuca so it melts slightly.
🎥 Step 7: Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice for an extra burst of flavor.
