In this video, I look at the Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charger for Apple iPhone, Apple AirPods, and Apple Watch, all from one single charging stand with one power cable.
This charger sells for an eye-watering £99, which is a lot of money when you compare this charging stand against its cheaper competitors at a third of this asking price. I managed to pick it up on sale on Amazon for £79.99, which was a price that was easier to swallow than the full asking price it usually sells for.
The stand comes in two colours, black and white, and it has three charging points. The 7.5W vertical charging plate managed to charge my iPhone 13 Pro at a faster 9.29W. There is a horizontal Apple Watch charging point that charges at 5W, and behind it, there is a recessed horizontal plate that also supports 5W of charging, for wireless Apple AirPods cases or a secondary device or wireless charging accessory.
The left side vertical charging stand supports charging through cases up to 3mm in thickness. I had no problem with it charging through my official Apple leather case. It doesn't support landscape charging, mostly due to the charging plate not having a coil located lower down on the stand.
The Apple Watch charger sits proudly at the front of the charging stand. This means that the watch will use the bigger Apple Watch nightstand display mode whilst it charges. Apple has reduced the sensitivity of waking the watch during nightstand mode, however, with its easy access at the front of the stand, it is easily within reach to tap it to view the time when bleary-eyed.
The Apple AirPods charging plate at the back has enough room to accommodate other wireless charging devices. My Google Pixel 5 wouldn't sit square on the charger as it charges, and the recess isn't quite deep enough to cradle the AirPods case securely enough for it to get knocked about as you place the Apple Watch on the charger.
It beat all my other 3-in-1 docks in terms of performance, as well as its looks and functionality. Charging my iPhone was rapid at a faster than advertised 9.29W. My Apple Watch didn't lose charge overnight and wake me up, as it has done with many other charging stands (long before and after the third-party wireless charging update).
My chosen white colour option blends in with my white furniture and makes the stand look less intrusive on what is quite a small nightstand surface. The one major issue I had with it was the charging indicator lights. Sadly they were still a little too bright, and Belkin didn't program the lights to turn off, or dim them, after a few seconds of charging.
I like a dark room and the bright white nature of these lights was so bright that the front base light would light up the surface of my nightstand and create a brighter than desired ambient light, whilst the top-facing light would illuminate any nearby laps and sidewalls. For some, I am sure this might not trouble you, but for me, I really do like a very dark room when sleeping. Sticking a small white sticker did the trick in lowering the overall ambient light that this stand projects from it. An option to turn them off or dim them entirely would have made this stand perfect.
If you're looking for a wireless charging dock and you want one that delivers in spades, then if you can stomach the asking price, the Belkin 3-in-1 comes highly recommended as an all-in-one charging solution for your Apple devices.
