The Austrian Space Forum, a scientific research organisation, is looking to simulate a human mission to Mars in February of 2018. In March 2017 they scouted out the Ramon Crater in Israel's Negev desert. The crater is one of the final candidates for hosting the simulation, along with the deserts of Oman.
