My brother Mike got a new guitar this week! It's a 50th Anniversary Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci JP form Willcutt Guitars, who collaborated with ErnieBall MusicMan to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. These specially selected instruments feature African mahogany bodies, roasted AAAAA quilt maple tops, roasted maple necks, DiMarzio LiquiFire neck pickups, DiMarzio Crunch Lab bridge pickup, Fishman Powerbridge piezo saddles, Schaller Locking Tuners, and a Willcutt Guitars exclusive Roasted Amber finish. They are basically a mashup of the JP15 and the JP 20th Anniversary model.

According to a recent Guitar World article, linked below, the JP is the second most popular signature guitar on the planet outselling classics like the Ibanez JEM, the Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster, and the PRS Silver Sky, and only bested in sales by the venerable Gibson Les Paul. Ernie Ball started building the John Petrucci signature model in 2001 starting with the JP6, and the current EBMM JP lineup includes the Majesty, Majesty 20th Anniversary, JP 20th Anniversary, and the JP 15. The JP is also available in the Sterling By Music Man range, and various 6 and 7 string models are offered. Thanks for watching!
