China's largest city, Shanghai, is in the grips of its biggest-ever covid-19 outbreak. China reported the most Covid cases on Wednesday since the start of the pandemic. China’s National Health Commission officials said that the outbreak in the city is in its peak phase. "The Shanghai outbreak is in its peak phase, with over 90,000 infections reported, relatively more community transmission, and spreading to many other provinces and cities.
