Step 1: Download Disk Drill Installer
Visit the official Disk Drill website.
Download the installer for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
Step 2: Run the Installer
Locate the downloaded installer file in your Downloads folder.
Double-click the installer file to begin the installation process.
Step 3: Install with Administrative Rights
When prompted, choose to run the installer with administrative rights.
This allows you to select any disk partition for installation.
Important: Avoid installing Disk Drill on an external hard drive or SD card to prevent overwriting files that you may need to recover.
Step 4: Select Installation Location
Follow the on-screen instructions to choose the disk partition where you want to install Disk Drill.
If you’re installing as a regular user with limited rights, the program might only install on the disk where data was deleted.
Step 5: Complete the Installation
Click "Install" and wait for the installation process to finish. This usually takes less than two minutes.
Step 6: Handle User Account Control (Windows Only)
If you're using Windows 10 or Windows 11, a User Account Control (UAC) window may appear.
