Hi everyone! If for some reason you haven’t seen Jacob Collier play this, then definitely go check it out - He plays it way better than I do. In this video I try to lay out the chords to his arrangement of this song. I couldn’t figure out exactly every note he played, but the chords and voicings should be largely accurate.
The voicings are written from low to high. I tried to include as much of what he was playing in the voicings as I could without it being too hard to follow. Sometimes the voicing shows all the notes that he plays at the same time - for instance the first 3 chords. Other times the notes in the voicing refer to the notes he played in sequence, one after another - for instance most of the refrain ("My heart is drenched in wine").
He did a lot of little embellishments which had too many notes to show in the voicing. If people are interested I could do a quick tutorial, either on piano or harpejji.
To give some context to the ending riff, I occasionally noted which octaves the notes were in. C4 is middle C. There isn’t too much jumping around between octaves but I gave a few references to make it easier to follow.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to post in the comments!
Separately, for those of you following my Harpejji progress - this is about 10 weeks into learning this instrument. This song took about 1 week to learn, though I clearly have a very long way to go. Also Jacob’s rendition of this song is the reason I bought mine =)
