Hugh Newman visits the mysterious Spirit Cave in Nevada that contained extremely ancient mummifies remains going back at least 9400 years. It is located near Hidden Cave and and Grimes Point petroglyphs, as well as Lovelock Cave and the Winnemucca Petroglyphs. The skeleton, a male aged around 40 at the time of his death, was found in 1940 wearing moccasins on his feet and with his body wrapped in a rabbit-skin blanket covered with reed mats. It has long been debated as to who this really is, as it showed Caucasian features, but new DNA research has revealed it is of local origin, connected to the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone tribe.
