1.Investigation: Should be carried out promptly and a fact finding exercise.
2.Once completed a decision needs to be taken on if there is a disciplinary to be answered.
3.If there is a disciplinary to answer the employee is invited to a disciplinary hearing by letter providing details and reasonable notice to the employee.
4.At the hearing there is then the chance for the employee to respond to the allegations and give their version of events
5.Only after the hearing is adjourned can a decision be taken on the outcome.
6.If there is a warning or a dismissal then the employee must be given the right of appeal.
