The TFE731-20 fan is responsible for supplying airflow to the combustor and turbine. We'll be looking at areas such as the blades, casing, and inlet guide vanes to ensure that it is functioning properly.
For some TFE731-20 operators, reoccurring fan vibration noise has been a problem on a few of these engines. It has been reported that the fan blades have had a tighter fit than normal in the fan hub assembly. In this video, we will show you two examples. One of normal fitting fan blades in the fan hub and one which has ill-fitted fan blades.
