My pet green Praying mantis eats Cricket for Thanksgiving. She seemed to be enjoying the meal so much, judging by how she ate it, licking the forelimbs in the process. Mantises are brutal eaters since they don't kill their prey before eating. They just start eating it as soon as they catch it. The Cricket was not completely dead, although the head had been ripped off.
