The basic color of this 38(t) is German gray. There are various colors of tanks, but the color that I think is the most difficult is this German gray. All weathering work is very sensitive to its effects and results. What you often see is weathering that is extremely whitish and faded like winter camouflage as a result of excessive dust and fading. Also, it is easy to apply a large amount of pigment or mud to make the surface extremely dirty, but it may be a difficult subject to complete rationally controlled weathering with a high degree of perfection. And personally, my thoughts on making 38(t) this time are the same as before, and the conclusion is that "German gray is difficult after all."
やはり、ジャーマングレーは難しい。
今回の38(t)の基本色はジャーマングレー。さまざまな色の戦車がありますが、私が一番難しいと思う色がこのジャーマングレーです。ウエザリングの全ての作業に対し非常に敏感にその効果と結果が反映されます。よく見かけるのは、過剰な埃や褪色表現の結果、まるで冬季迷彩のように極端に白っぽく褪色したウエザリング表現です。また大量のピグメントや泥を塗り込み、やたらと激しく汚してしまうのは簡単ですが、理性的にコントロールされた完成度の高いウエザリングを完結させるには、やはり中々手強い題材かもしれません。そして私自身、今回38(t)を作って思うことは以前と変わりなく「やはり、ジャーマングレーは難しい」っと言うのが結論です。
