With Airfix's 1/72 D-Day Fighters Set due out in a couple of weeks I thought I'd take a look at the kits in the set and answer the question, is it worth it? Most of the kits in this set I've reviewed before so for a more comprehensive look, here's the respective videos:

The most expensive part of a model is the decal sheet. (ever noticed how after market decals cost as much as the kit itself?) What Airfix have done with the set is picked one scheme per aircraft with each depicting an aircraft flying the Normandy skies on 6th June. At around £10 per aircraft I think this is a great set that will appeal to a variety of skills sets.
