In this video we introduce several fixes for common problems around seized air conditioning compressor clutches on any vehicle. When the air conditioning compressor or compressor clutch pulley seizes and burns the serpentine belt off there are several options for repair. In this video, the subject vehicle, a 2000 Ford Explorer (tip applies to 1995-2001) equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine we show the most economical repair by simply bypassing the A/C compressor by installing a slightly shorter serpentine belt. We give the proper part numbers for the replacement belt along with other tips that will have you back on the road and saving money for your next Ford Exploder repair...hahaha. just kidding.
