In this Jin Shin Jyutsu session, a sequence of holds (called a flow) is demonstrated to clear the head and calm the mind, benefiting physical, mental, emotional, digestive, and spiritual levels.
The goal is to balance the exhale from the head to the toes and the inhale from the toes back to the head, facilitating optimal energy flow.
To practice this flow:
Neck and Forehead Hold: Place your right hand on the right side of your neck and your left hand/fingers on the left forehead. Relax and close your eyes.
Cheekbone Hold: Move the left hand to the left base of the cheekbone, at nostril level.
Collarbone Hold: Place the left hand on the left collarbone, sliding down to its base.
Rib and Groin Holds: Cross over with the left hand to the right last rib at the waistline, then to the right groin.
Heel Hold: Move the left hand to the inside of the right heel, under the ankle, big toe side.
Repeat the flow for the other side by reversing the hands:
Left hand on the left neck, right hand on the right forehead.
Right hand down to the right base of the cheekbone.
Right hand to the right base of the collarbone.
Cross over with the right hand to the left last rib, then the left groin.
Right hand to the inside of the left heel.
