This presentation is part of STFM's program for mentoring underrepresented faculty for academic excellence and was developed by the STFM URM Mentorship Work Group as a training session for mentors. We shared ways for mentors to identify personal "growing edges" with addressing stereotyping and racism, gave advice on ways to support mentees through difficult moments with bias, stereotyping, and racism, and identified strategies for how to have difficult conversations around race.
