I have been waiting to travel to Thailand since my flight was cancelled on the first day of lockdown in March 2020.
My original flight was with Qatar, on both their A380 and 777 aircraft. This would have enabled me to try 2 of their business class variants, including the renowned Q suite cabin.
Having decided not to fly with Qatar, as I didn’t want to get caught up in the World Cup fever, I started to hunt around. British Airways were only flying to Singapore at the time of booking, and their new Club Suite wasn’t guaranteed.
In the end, I opted for EVA Air. And I am so glad I did! It was a wonderful flight with attentive service, good food, great wine, and a restful sleep. I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again, and after my stint in the Thai Health resort I am in, I look forward to my return flight home with them!

I also got to do some plane spotting in Thailand whilst waiting for my connecting flight. A few Thai Airways A380 and 747 aircraft were good to see, even if they looked rather forlorn.
