The Aston Martin Vantage is a refined interpretation of the high-performance grand touring car template. It is elegant, powerful, and exclusive. The 2025 Vantage boasts several deceptively small cosmetic upgrades, a redesigned interior, and a new 656-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine. It is better in every way. Although the 12-cylinder Vantage is sadly no longer available, the new V-8 engine makes up for its four-cylinder shortfall with 128 horsepower more than the previous model, which should relieve any concerns. With new suspension geometry and enhanced dynamics software, the Vantage's agile chassis gains even more performance, and its gasoline V-8 produces visceral thrills with rapid acceleration and a rich exhaust note. Modern technology and improved hand-stitched leather adorn the updated, yet still cozy, cabin. Fortunately, a few tactile controls for important features like drive mode, exhaust selection, and HVAC settings are still present. The Vantage is a kindred spirit for drivers seeking that rarefied sports car experience who find the Mercedes-AMG GT63 and the similarly priced Porsche 911 Turbo too ubiquitous; those seeking even more exclusivity are invited to jump up to the Aston DB12.The new Vantage's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine shares AMG DNA with the vehicle that came before it. However, new turbos, updated cam profiles, enhanced compression ratios, and better cooling have all been added to increase output. With a boost of 128 horsepower and 85 pound-feet over the previous engine in the Vantage F1 edition, which was formerly the most powerful Vantage variation, output now stands at 656 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automated gearbox transfers power to the back axle. The 2025 model gains new Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tires, updated active dampers, and a chassis that is 7% stronger. During our first test drive, we were pleased with the Vantage's energetic feel; its neutral demeanor, precise steering, and communicative brake pedal make it a pleasure to drive. Serious grunt is also delivered by the updated V-8 engine, and the transmission is a great partner.
