Abalone biologist and Eileen Bates sets up a sensor array in the northern San Juan Islands to study pinto abalone restoration at an abalone outplant site during a day of epic visibility.
Eileen is a PhD student at University of Washington. Her work is in collaboration with Puget Sound Restoration Fund and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, who are working towards fully restoring the endangered pinto abalone in Washington State.
