#eGFR is a short term for the Estimated Glomeruli Filtration Rate. This test along with serum creatinine level depicts the healthy or unhealthy conditions of kidneys. These tests help estimate the problems going with the kidneys.
There are three stages of kidney diseases and each stage has a distinctive requirement of eGFR rate. Following will help you in understanding the variations in the range of #GFR:
• Stage One: eGFR is greater than 90
• Stage Two: eGFR lies in the range of 60 to 90
• Stage Three: eGFR lies in the range 30-59
• Stage Four: eGFR lies in the range 15-29
• Stage Five: eGFR lies drop down below the range of 15
As the #stage_of_kidney_diseases increase, the range of eGFR drops and the condition becomes serious. Another test that also helps in determining the condition of kidneys is serum creatinine level test. This helps estimate the protein that the body is losing from blood and urine both.
The minimum requirements of #creatinine_levels are listed below:
In Blood:
• Men: 0.6 to 1.2 mg/Dl
• Women: 0.5 to 1.1 mg/Dl
• Teenager: 0.5 to 1.0 mg/Dl
• Child: 0.3 to 0.7 mg/Dl
In Urine:
• Men: 107 to 139 mL/min
• Women: 87 to 107 mL/min
If the creatinine levels are increasing, this is signifying the unhealthy conditions of #kidneys.
