(9 Feb 2017) Malaysian Hindu devotees flocked to the Batu Caves Temple near Kuala Lumpur on Thursday to observe the annual Thaipusam Festival in honour of Lord Murugan, the Hindu God of War.
Devotees made their way up the temple's 272 steps, many carrying different kinds of kavadi offerings - which literally means "burden."
The event draws huge crowds, including thousands of tourists.
