Malaysian troops carried out a house-to-house search in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, last night to hunt for illegal workers after a final deadline passed on Friday (31/1) for seeking an amnesty.
The government declared on Friday it would expel immigrant workers if their papers were not in order after the January 31 deadline.
