The Blackburn Buccaneer plain is fitted with two Rolls-Royce Spey jet engines. The fighter jet was designed in 1950 and was officially known as the Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer. The Buccaneer Jet first flew on 30 April 1958 and was introduced on 17 July 1962. It was retired end of March 1994. And only 211 were build. Its Role in the Royal Navy was to be used as Maritime strike aircraft. It was used in the Cold War, Gulf War and South African Border War.
