Over the past several months I have rekindled my love of herbalism and have begun to take action on what I've learned...to punch fear and doubt in the face and just do the thing.
There's a lot of intimidating terminology and warnings and hoopla surrounding herbalism that restrains people from doing it themselves.
In an attempt to be my truest self while helping others, I'm starting a series of Herbalism show and tell. I don't expect to be anyone's teacher, just to show what works for me and how I do it, and by what authority I do the things I do. The book that has been with me my entire adult life that I have studied and read over and over is The Green Witch Herbal by Barbars Griggs.
My methods are approachable and safe. I hope you can gain something from this series and my intent is to incorporate my Moondays series into the Herbalism series, as they really do marry up. We garden and harvest by the moon, and that is a huge part of being an effective Herbalist.
Timing is everything in Nature, perfect timing that is in the movement of the sun, moon, stars and planets. If we are not in tune, we'll miss ideal harvesting, fermenting, canning, infusing opportunities. So...let's do this!
