Hi everyone, I filmed this walking tour on June 21st at around 2:30 PM. This walk follows the Rambla of Montevideo from Escollera Sarandí to the intersection of Rambla República Helénica and Río Negro. This is a distance of about 2.1 km or 1.3 miles.
On this walk, we'll enjoy some spectacular views of Río de la Plata. We'll also see a few Montevideo landmarks including Escollera Sarandí, Antiguo Respirador De Colector, Plaza España, Cubo del Sur, Vieja estructura de Compañia del Gas, and more. We'll also pass by a few people enjoying a stroll on la Rambla including some fishermen.
I took this walk on a cold and windy winter day. It was around 48℉ or 9℃. The water was pretty choppy. Not too many people were out and about. I still enjoyed the walk. Montevideo is a picturesque city.
La Rambla de Montevideo is a 24 km long road following the shore of Río de la Plata. It's a great place to go walking, cycling, running, skateboarding, fishing, and bird watching. Further south, you'll find a number of city beaches and parks.
I'm new to making this type of video. I made some mistakes here and there but I hope you enjoy.
