Back at home I am baking bread to accompany a simple summer salad with broad bean hummus, made with our own home grown broad beans. It's a quiet, slow paced, relaxing vlog. If you're new to my channel, hi! My name is Stéphanie and I live in an apartment in an English city. Here on Eighteen and Cloudy I share peaceful, slow paced, 'slow living' silent vlogs about how my husband and I try to live a simple and sustainable lifestyle in an urban environment. We're both vegan and I share the recipes we make with produce we grow ourselves, as well as produce we purchase as 'supermarket seconds' from our local outdoor vegetable market.
We eat seasonally with whatever we find at the market each week, supplemented by the produce we grow ourselves. We're not self sufficient in the way that homesteaders strive to be, but we enjoy growing our own food and experimenting with varieties that are hard or impossible to find in the shops, particularly heirloom varieties of fruit and vegetables.
I love growing flowers for cutting, as well as for pollinators, and I also love old fashioned heritage crafts like weaving, flower arranging, soapmaking, felting, quilting, and sewing. I share my crafting adventures, tutorials, recipes, and organic gardening ideas here on my channel in my weekly vlogs, as well as in bonus themed videos.
