Commercial real estate investing can seem like (and be) a pretty tricky business. Done correctly, it takes a lot of time, money, knowledge, and risk ... but it doesn't have to. There are two overarching forms of real estate investing that we'll discuss today, one is popularly known as active and the other is passive.
We like to think of it this way... active real estate investing is "DIY," and passive real estate investing is "Done for You." Let's take a look at both and try and determine which is best for you, before you make one of the biggest (and possibly best) financial commitments of your life.
