Emma Marrone is an Italian singer who rose to fame in 2010, after winning the ninth season of Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi and in 2012 she won the 62nd annual Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Non è l'inferno".
Emma is characterized by a powerful voice, hoarse and scratchy, compared to Gianna Nannini, Loredana Bertè and Dolcenera. She appears often on TV, is very active on social networks, and is loved by the public. Her love and art affairs fill the TV shows and the newspapers and her concerts are often sold out.
Before winning the Sanremo Music Festival in 2012, she gained a second place in 2011 with the song "Arriverà", a duet with the italian band Modà, and she's back on the stage in 2013 to sing with Annalisa "Per Elisa" by Alice.
She released one EP ("Oltre" in 2010), three full-length studio album ("A me piace così" in 2010, "Sarò libera" in 2011 and "Schiena" in 2013") and sold more than 800.000 copies winnning several music prizes.
