Burns & scald accidents can be horrific and very painful. They not only cause physical injuries but often result in physiological trauma. This can be particularly true for young people who often struggle with body image and self confidence.
The Scottish Burned Children's Club is an organisation that supports burn survivors and their families through difficult times. As part of their work, they take the children on an annual camp to Bendrigg to help them build their confidence and self-esteem whilst being surrounded by others just like them.
This short film follows this wonderful group on their annual camp at Bendrigg. It shows the impact that an adventure residential can have on people suffering with mental health problems.
