STORYLINE
Anarchists clashed with police in the Greek capital Athens on Thursday night, hurling rocks and other objects, after a march erupted into violence.
The marchers were demonstrating against the arrest of a protester during a demonstration last month.
Youths hurled rocks and other objects at police who responded with tear gas.
Banks and cafes were also damaged during Thursday night''s disturbance.
Last month, thousands of people took to the streets to protest against austerity measures announced by the Greek government, which included cutting civil servants'' pay and raising consumer taxes, to bring the budget deficit down as the country buckles under a national debt of 300 (b) billion euros (406 (b) billion US dollars).
