In our previous Syria vlogs, we were having fun around Damascus, but this is where that all changes. As soon as you leave Damascus, barely around 2 minutes after you leave the city, you start to see the true scale of the Syrian war. Every building we came across along the road is destroyed.

In this episode we visit the Syrian village of Maaloula. This is where they speak the language that Jesus spoke - Aramaic. We visit a destroyed hotel at the top of the village, the caves of Maaloula, the church of St Thecla and much more. We also get to speak to some locals who speak Aramaic, very cool.
