The problem with modern psychology, is that it puts to much focus on the animal aspect of the human brain. Thus the only knowledge than can be acquired is how to manipulate and control this element of the brain, and not how to nurture and develop the rest of the human being, again arresting his development and keeping him easily controlled and predictable. Functioning at the primal state of an animal. Need proof? Look at the world of politics, entertainment, and advertising. Everything is functioning at the education level of a ten year old. Nothing goes outside the box and nothing encourages or reminds you how to be TRULY self sufficient. Rather we are taught that we can be "empowered by this product, or that political candidate, or by singing up with this company, etc."
