Hi Everyone!
I’m trying out a new technique for drying flowers today. Generally speaking, when I want pressed flowers I go with the tried and true method of flattening flowers in tissue paper and pressing them between heavy books for a few weeks. I’ve previously made a video on this method and the crafts I make with the flowers. If you’re interested in seeing that video, it’s linked here: [ Ссылка ]
I’ve also dried a few whole roses in my time. I have another video on that: [ Ссылка ]
But that method is also fairly straight forward and doesn’t really require any sort of hack, or DIY ing. You just hang the rose upside down, out of direct sunlight and let it dry for a week.
This time I wanted to try something different. I’d heard about a different way to dry or press flowers and that was by using a microwave. The claims were that flowers could be dried and pressed within just a few minutes. Seemed too good to be true so I thought I would test the crafting hack out and that’s what this video it.
For most of my instructions, I followed what was provided at Resin Obsession. They seemed to know what they were talking about. If you’d like to check out that post in greater detail, it’s here:

For the most part, I’d say this hack works, the flowers were flat and drier, however I wasn’t able to replicate the same results I see with traditional pressing. All things considered though, and with more trial and error, I think I’ll get the hang of this method and that it would be one that works.
Hope you found this video helpful, as always, thanks for watching.
Happy Crafting!
