We've covered this before. A custo &mer asked me to supply & optimise a new PNI HP55 one-hander CE Multinorm CB radio. He wante it for both the EU set of 40 & the UK set of 40 channels. He also asked me to optimise AM as well as FM as he's travelling around Europe.
We've shown all this before. I'll never find sets like this easy to work with software controlled keys etc. Squelch has to be selected bothe gor autosquelch & manual squelch.
When set to UK, the radio does the 80 channels of EU & UK in FM only. To do AM, EU has to be selected as a country code & then you can go between AM & FM on the EU set of 40. Reset the country code to UK for UK channels, so not as smooth between what's allowed in the UK than some sets.
The set arrived from the wholesaler doing 2.8W & 1.6Khz deviation. This was brought up to 3.95W as a maximum achieveable & FM deviation easily reached the required 2.2 Khz with an absolute maximum peak of 2.5Khz. I set AM modulation to 93%
