(2 Sep 2017) Muslims in Pakistan offered prayers on Saturday to mark Eid al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's test of faith.
Thousands of people attended mass prayers at the mosque in Peshawar - known as Jamia Masjid Darwish in Urdu.
After the prayers, it's time to wish Eid Mubarak, or Blessed Eid, and greet each other with the customary warm embrace.
During Eid, Muslims slaughter livestock and distribute the meat to the poor.
Eid in Pakistan begins later than some other Muslim countries, as the celebration follows the Islamic lunar calendar, which depends on the sightings of the moon.
