Short, medium and long-term corruption trends for Estonia and neighbouring Western European/EU countries are presented in this video using scores published by Transparency International in their 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report.
The video reviews Estonia’s performance in addressing corruption in the periods 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.
Estonia’s CPI score recorded an overall significant improvement in 2012-2023. The country’s CPI score steadily advanced during 2012-2020, slipped a little in 2020-2021 and advanced again in 2022- 2023.
The rate of change in the country’s CPI score exceeded the rate of change in average Western European/EU and global CPI scores in 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.
Estonia’s CPI score exceeded average global CPI scores continuously throughout 2012-2023 and has also exceeded average global CPI scores since 2013. #corruption #estonia #europe
