Brilliant BBC political satire sitcom Yes Minister from 1980s nails the political narrative in 2020s on political scene in UK. Boris Johnson uses the word appalled/appalling to describe certain situations he encounters in real life, while Jim Hacker, sir Humphrey and Bernard overuse it to describe their own misfortunes. It is hilarious to watch this repetitive narrative by Jim and his officials being replicated in the real life as well.
Disclaimer: We mean no disrespect towards Boris Johnson nor situations for which he was appalled, but rather praise BBC comedy Yes Minister for being so farsighted.
