both ipads look alike an have a very clean look like apple knows how to make them. the ipad air 2 is older, versus the ipad 6 (2018 ipad).
both ipad have decent performance but the ipad 6th generation is the one that answers the question "which one is better for you".
I would suggest you try to get a newer ipad if you can, but if your choice is only between these 2 ipads, then you should go for the ipad 6th
