Torrential rain drenched Central Taiwan on Thursday, triggering disaster reports before moving southward in the afternoon. The rains brought a significant influx of water to local reservoirs. Liyutan Reservoir in Miaoli was the storm’s biggest beneficiary, gaining 5 million tons of water. It was followed by Taoyuan’s Shihmen Reservoir with nearly 3 million tons. Nationwide, supplies at reservoirs swelled by approximately 19.12 million tons.
