This video demonstrates the simple method of live-streaming to Instagram via “OneStream.live”
1) Make sure you sign on to a account to ensure ease of use…
The basis of this tutorial is to provide a simplified explanation to livestream to Instagram with a RTMP universal reference location or URL and stream key…
2) The RTMP web address usually requires
The URL and stream key…
Whether as separate lines to send video as a livestream or use…
The URL and stream key as one continuous address separated on by the slash symbol…
RTMP address = URL/stream key
( it’s important to copy the combined url and stream letter by letter without spaces…
also add a slash “/“ symbol in-between the URL and stream key without spaces up to and past the slash symbol “
3) set up output platform from the OneStream website… ( see video above to allow assesability)
If you have trouble with the OneStream app on the iOS App Store not being able to access to instafeed then do a Google search for OneStream to get the browser version of the service…
( some people might experience difficulties between the signing into the instafeed from the OneStream app, so browser should be ok…
Note I’ve only tested this via my iPhone 13 system only, I am not sure if a android phone is possible but if it does please let me know 👍)
4) finally, add a title and description to the livestream… ( see video above to know how )
Adding a title hopefully helps distinguish each session you make and to avoid creating a new stream key for each new livestream session…
Hopefully you only need to enter the RTMP address once to each device for repeatable livestreams…
The onestream app at this point is only needed for entering a new title and description and can be logged off afterwards…
This means you can “start” the live stream and “end” it without having a second device to maintain the stream…
Although you will probably need additional monitor system to allow for chat messages and monetization systems…
But generally a single streamer can go live, this way without a second device to the onestream app or website… so long as the autostart is set on the onestream app…
The free version of onestream allows users to multi stream to two platforms for 10 minutes…
There are basic tier increments of basic, standard and professional subscriptions that rank $9.99, $39.99, $79.99 to stream unlimited content at multiple platforms depending on the amount of stream platforms and internal storage capacities…
Onestream offerings the extra functionality of livestreaming in realtime or to release a video file to a set time schedule…
For example a released video could be used for a advertisement campaign or a pre-recorded show to alleviate time differences or holiday commitments from the live streamer…
In my opinion, onestream fulfils a need to bridge the gap of a camera device and a social media platform… the advantages are the unique capabilities of livestreaming to instagram and to to store video files for advertising…
But the disadvantage of a costly subscription service only us worthwhile for professional and occasional users who doesn’t mind money or the time limited livestreams…
There's an alternative company “Restream” that does the same but without the instagram connection… I suggest if you don’t mind the hassle of “onstream” you can always try “Restream” instead…
