Boney's DNA profile was in the CODIS database since 1997. The profile from the sweatshirt at the crime scene was never tested until 5 years after the tragic murder. Why? Stan Faith said there wasn't a match early on. The profile was run through CODIS in 2005 and it in fact matched Boney...so what happened? Faith said it didn't match. He likely believed it would never be run again. Had Camm not been granted a new trial, it may never have been run.
