Sydney Metro and Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport are two mega projects under construction in Australia’s biggest city.
The new metro railway tunnels deep under the city centre are helping build the new airport runway, on the other side of the city.
Sydney Metro is now open in the north west, extending into the city and beyond to Bankstown in 2024.
Western Sydney International Airport opens in 2026.
