Welcome to a new episode that I was VERY excited to finally make - fishing on my FAVORITE lake for lake trout and bass. Except this lake had other ideas and we hit the mother-load of crappie, a species up until today that I had no idea even existed in this body of water! And of course we can't have a video with some kind of disaster going on... like forgetting my trolling motor pedal and my batteries, which I suspected were not hold a charge since last fall, finally die in crazy wind.
So buckle up and watch how I jig for lakers, including some nifty sonar screenshots, find the smallest bass possible, and haul in some slabs!
As promised in the video, here's the gear I talked about:
Hopkins Shorty Jiggin Spoons in 1oz: [ Ссылка ]
You can find them in different sizes and dressings but the 101g / 1oz version in silver with no bucktail is my favorites, which is this one: [ Ссылка ]
Check out their website at [ Ссылка ]
The special reflector lure tape is from [ Ссылка ] and it's called Scallop Tape and it comes in rolls 5/8" wide. You can find that at [ Ссылка ]
And yes, my batteries ended up being cooked and won't hold a charge. They were replaced with Interstate group 31 batteries that I found at an RV store in the town nearby that same afternoon and they work great!
