Name of the dance: Kaszuby
The Song and Dance Ensemble “Chludowianie” was founded in the year 2000. The then Headmaster of the school, Jarosław Krajewski, was the founder of the school dance group in Chludowo and the first choreographer of it and in charge of the repertoire the late Kazimierz Brdęk, an extraordinary man, educationalist, and first of all en expert in matters of the Polish folklore. Nowadays the ensemble is run by Renata Banaszewska, Tomasz Szarek trained vocally by Elzavieta Maciejewska and musically shaped by Andrzej Przybył and Łukasz Maciejewski. We often perform with the accompaniment of our own orchestra and always sing “live”.
Through the dance and song we attempt to show the richness of the Polish folklore to the others. We have taken part in many festivals in Poland and abroad: in Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Germany, Monte Carlo, Italy and Hungary. We have been travelling a lot in our homeland- the Greater Poland, we sing and dance at harvest feats, charitable events, city and village feasts.
