Iceland's Fagradalsfjall volcano has erupted. Officials are closely monitoring the eruption, as it’s close to Keflavik Airport, a major international transport hub. So far, there have been no disruptions to flights nor ‘any risk to populated areas or critical infrastructure,’ per Icelandic PM Katrin Jakobsdottir.
According to the Washington Post, the eruption has attracted some folks looking to see it up close or take selfies — something authorities are warning against.
