"Monday, December 21st, 2009 — Survivor: Samoa concluded Sunday night on CBS with its victor, Natalie White, winning in the final jury vote by a result of 7-2-0, declaring her the Sole Survivor of the 19th season, defeating runner-up Russell Hantz and third place finalist Michael "Mick" "McDreamy" Trimming.

An outcry of fans has risen in response to the result, with online petitions being created... Viewers were shocked to see Hantz lose in the end, with many left confused and dissatisfied at the outcome, some having turned to creating websites calling for a recount of the final vote — in an effort to soothe the upset public, host Jeff Probst has been replaying the promo trailer for the next season hoping the distraction will heal the massive wound left in the wake of Russell’s unfathomable loss."
