A video on how to replace the gas lift support struts on your vehicle. The gas-charged lift supports are used on many vehicles on hatchbacks, liftgates, and hoods. Worn or faulty gas support struts can be a hazard as a hood or liftgate can be very heavy and can pinch fingers if you're coincidentally caught between a falling door or hood and the car's body. All that is needed to replace these struts are some basic hand tools such as ratchet and a pair of pliers. The car in this video is a 2nd gen (1988-1991) Honda CRX. The lift struts used in this video are made by StrongArm.
