Construction has begun in Hainan Province of what will be the largest commercial floating offshore wind power project in the world. Funded by the Power Construction Corporation of China, or Power China, it has a planned total installed capacity of one million kilowatts. It’s the first large-scale far-reaching offshore wind power project in China, and is expected to boost development of the sector.
