Erdogan defends Turkey's strike on Kurdish rebels
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he won't let northern Iraq become a base for Kurdish rebels.
The Turkish air force recently bombed Kurdish positions in both Iraq and Syria.
The attack also killed Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers, who are Turkey’s allies in the fight against ISIL.
Erdogan condemned the loss, but said his forces had alerted the Kurdish troops.
Officials say fighters are using the area to smuggle weapons into Turkey.
Al Jazeera's Osama Bin Javaid reports.
